Aluminum jacketing
Aluminum jacketing keeps weather and mechanical damage off the insulation underneath. Desert Sky Energy Solutions, an industrial insulation contractor in the Permian Basin, jackets every insulated run it installs.
Jacket is 0.016" aluminum, smooth or stucco-embossed, with a moisture retarder where the spec calls for one. Every directional change gets a formed 90° or 45° elbow cover.
Stainless steel banding and wing seals hold the jacket, and seams are lapped to shed water. Terminations are sealed with caulk and tape.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask
Why jacket pipe insulation with aluminum?
Aluminum jacketing protects insulation from rain, UV and mechanical damage, which keeps the insulation dry and working. Wet insulation loses most of its value.
