Pipe insulation
Desert Sky Energy Solutions, an industrial insulation contractor, installs pipe insulation on hot and cold process lines at oil, gas and process facilities across the Permian Basin.
We quote insulation by the linear foot and the fitting, measured on a walkdown with your operator, so the quote, the daily report and the invoice all use the same numbers.
Material follows the spec and the line temperature. Urethane half-shells for cold and freeze-protection lines, calcium silicate where the spec calls for high temperature and abuse resistance, mineral wool and fiberglass for general hot service.
| Urethane | Cold and low-temperature lines, freeze protection. Half-shell sections. |

| Calcium silicate | High-temperature piping, steam and hot oil, where the spec requires it. |
| Mineral wool | Hot piping and equipment where mechanical abuse is not expected. |
| Fiberglass | General hot service and large-diameter lines. |
| Measured by | Linear feet, 90° and 45° fittings, valves and flanges. |
